About the Book
A journey that cascades through layers of personal and relative strife; beautifully solemn with drops of hope.
Friendship, love, and spiraling despair; Three Lives is a low fantasy exploration of the depths of loyalty, the seemingly eternal struggle of emptiness, and the secrets of the heart. Three people, three lives; can they find happiness?
Based on a true friendship of over ten years, this short represents a love letter from one to the other, in fictional form. The first short story in a series of four, Three Lives begins a sequence of ‘letters’ through creative storytelling. The depths of the heart are mysterious and vast, and scars can hide in every corner, and this nameless collection serves to heal some of those hidden scars.
Dy Swann is an artist who has been drawing since she can remember. Living mostly in her head, she is often found curled up with a cat and mug of tea, imagining her next art project. In her personal work she explores concepts like numbness, bitterness, or depression, to self heal and raise awareness.
What a creative story. It drew me in right away and I had to read it all. A nice touch was the prologue about the meaning and symbolism of the names and colors.
A journey that cascades through layers of personal and relative strife; beautifully solemn with drops of hope. Another tale by an author that isn't afraid to broach the difficulties of life's essence.
Couldn't stop once I started!! Really enjoyed it!
